Metal Mounting Press

Mounting or encapsulation is used to improve the polishing quality and ease of sample preparation for metallography. Samples are embedded into resin using hot mounting presses offering production type potting of samples in high technology resins. Advantages that can be offered with encapsulated samples is protection of the sample edge and better production using automated sample polishing machines. Cold mounting systems are offered for delicate or temperature sensitive subjects and also for porous materials requiring vacuum or pressure impregnation.
