Mounting Press

Cut materials and irregular samples need to be mounted to aid grinding and polishing to reveal surface structure or to produce a flat parallel surface for hardness measurement. The two usual methods of mounting samples are to use cold mounting resins or to use resins which can be moulded at elevated temperature and pressure.

Specification

Pressure system: Integral compact hydraulic pump, Pressure adjustment and safety valve, Intermediate 50mm dia cylinder.

Heating system: Heating block surrounds mould, 4/250W heaters embedded.

Cooling system: Water inlet on rear panel, Solenoid operated water switch for cooling.

Keypad: Mini HMI with integrated PLC module. Software to create and store programs.

Moulds: They are not included with basic Mounting press and must be ordered additionally sizes: 25mm, 30mm, 40mm dia 1in, 1 1/4in, 1 1/2in dia.

Moulds are supplied complete with top piston and shaped bottom piston.

Head assembly : Stainless construction, top piston attaches, Bayonet fitting onto mould.
